While Washington is embroiled in an impeachment controversy, Democratic presidential frontrunner Joe Biden may soon face an ethics quandary of his own.
U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, in October announced his investigation of the former VP’s son, Hunter Biden, and his possible “conflict of interest” with a Chinese investment firm. The firm has allegedly partnered with a Chinese aviation company, raising red flags with national security.
Biden’s campaign has been on a steady decline as of late, led "by embarrassing gaffes, lies, and out-of-touch claims like 'China’s not a problem' and calling the GOP tax cuts 'negligible,'" according to a press release from the Iowa GOP.
“Once thought to be the obvious frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination, Biden’s Iowa campaign is falling apart. Quid Pro Joe has been focused on undoing the 2016 election and baselessly attacking President (Donald) Trump, but perhaps he should spend more time getting his internal house in order,” Iowa GOP Spokesman Aaron Britt said in the release.
