City of Hawarden issued the following announcement on Jan. 6.
The Hawarden Police Department will be hosting a Firearms Safety/Concealed and Carry Permit Class on January 28, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. The class is FREE and will be held at the city offices located at 1150 Central Ave. Hawarden, IA 51023.
The class is intended for individuals who reside within the city limits of either Hawarden or Ireton, IA.
Interested participants must be over the age of 21 within 12 months of the date you submit your application for a Non-Professional Permit to Carry Weapons in the State of Iowa. Participants must present ID upon arrival of the course.
