City of Sioux Center issued the following announcement on Feb. 9.
We want to help keep property owners informed about their utilities. In Sioux Center, utility customers are responsible for the water and sewer service lines on their property. These lines link you to the city water and sewer mains. If service lines to a home or business break or need repair, the property owner is responsible for the fix.
Property owners may purchase plans to cover service line repairs. If interested, visit with your homeowner’s insurance agent to ask them about coverage. National companies specializing in emergency home repair coverage offer plans as well. This graphic helps show what property owners are responsible for.
