City of Hawarden issued the following announcement on Apr. 1.
The Downtown Central Avenue resurfacing project is scheduled to take place between April 9-11. Work will begin on either the east or west side. Crews will grind down the street before resurfacing with asphalt, then moving on to the opposite side of the street. The contractor painting new striping is scheduled to be in town on April 13. The project’s schedule is weather dependent and is subject to change.
