City of Orange issued the following announcement on Aug. 27.
Due to extra-ordinary demand for treated water, Orange City and Alton residents and businesses are requested to substantially reduce water use for lawn sprinkling systems through Labor Day.
Exceptions are school athletic fields to protect the safety of student-athletes, gardens, flowers, new plantings, and newly seeded lawns.
