City of Orange issued the following announcement on Sept. 8.
The Orange City Public Library is expanding hours after Labor Day, September 7, 2020. New hours include Mondays and Thursdays 10:00 am - 7:00 pm, with Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday hours remaining from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Saturday hours will be 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. High-risk demographic days will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Use the reserve system in the catalog to place items on hold for easy in-and-out checkout or schedule a time for no contact pickup by calling the library at 712-707-4302.
Large meeting rooms will open by appointment with a capacity of 15 persons. Proctoring services are once again available. Continuing services include internet access computers (by appointment), WIFI inside and in the parking lot, faxing, copying, and printing services.
Standard programming is in transition, with a target date of January. Book clubs are being held in the library on Tuesday evenings. Look for more virtual book clubs and reading incentives coming in the ReadSquared app. Other community collaborations are in the works for creative fun. In the meantime, check out CreativeBug for a daily dose of maker inspiration. E-reading and listening has never been easier with CloudLibrary's expanded collection. The CL app now allows you to check out using your smartphone!
