Dordt College recently issued the following announcement.
DEFENDER DASH VIRTUAL 5K
8:00 AM, Tuesday, October 20–9:00 PM, Saturday, October 24, 2020 Campus Center
Join us for the first Dordt Defender Dash Virtual 5k! This is a great way to connect with Dordt alumni, parents and friends all over Defender Nation who enjoy running. All those that register and submit their time will receive a t-shirt. Coach Wolf will submit his 5k time before the week begins and we’ll share with you so you can race against him to win a fun Dordt prize. All proceeds from the 5k will go toward the David Temte Memorial Scholarship.
When: Tuesday, October 20 – Saturday, October 24 (you pick which day you run)
Registration deadline: Friday, October 16 at 11 p.m. CST
Cost: $25 (includes t-shirt) or choose the Donation ticket and donate more to the scholarship (includes t-shirt)

CHALLENGE:
All runners who beat Coach Wolf’s time receive an extra Dordt prize. We’ll award top finishers in age category for males and females.
REGISTRATION DETAILS:
During registration, you can opt in to have your name and time shared on Dordt’s website. It’s okay if you choose not to share. We’ll still send you the t-shirt and any prizes you won.
Final run times are due Monday, October 26. We’ll announce the winners in each age category and mail out your t-shirt and Dordt prizes that week.
We’ll award prizes to the top three male and female runners in the age categories below:
- 15-19
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60+
