Okoboji Indian Motorcycle’s “Ride To Sturgis”
Okoboji Indian Motorcycle located at 4105 Hwy 71 S in Spirit Lake is having a “Ride to Sturgis” event to promote Indian Motorcycles and the Lakes Area on August 4th from 9AM to 6PM. Tony Petersen of Okoboji Indian Motorcycle explains the event: “We wanted to do something to promote the fact that Indian Motorcycles are built right here in Spirit Lake. What a perfect way to springboard off of one of the biggest biker events in the country – Sturgis. The lakes area has a lot to offer bikers between the Indian Motorcycle factory, the natural tourism of the area and (for the most part) we are right on the way to Sturgis, SD.”
Okoboji Indian Motorcycle is collaborating with the Barn Of Okoboji to make this a full day of fun and entertainment. Tony elaborated on this collaboration: “The Barn and us working together is a perfect mix to host an event like this. They are right in our backyard and we have the motorcycles and factory connection and the Barn has the entertainment space and facility to make it a true Bikes, Beer and Band event. The event and band are open to the public.”
The event starts at 9AM and goes unit 6PM at Okoboji Indian Motorcycle then moves up the hill to the Barn for the band at 6PM. Throughout the day they will have Jack Daniels factory representatives there like “The Barrel Man” and Jack Daniels bottle engraving. There will also be food trucks, great prize drawings, fun, games, “Ride Around Boji” (a modified poker run), event t-shirts, camaraderie and much more. At 6:00 pm The Okoboji Barn location will have live music featuring the band Farm Rock! The Barn will open their doors at 1PM.
