Iowalakesnews

Iowa Lakes Community College recently issued the following announcement.

The wait is over! Iowa Lakes Community College announces the 2022 Spring Musical “Mamma Mia!” to be on stage in April 2022. Performances will be on April 7, 8, and 9 at 7:30 pm.

Over 60 million people worldwide have fallen in love with the characters, the story, and the music that make Mamma Mia! the ultimate feel-good show. ABBA’s music tells the uplifting tale of a young woman seeking the identity of her father for her wedding and brings the three potential men from her mother’s past back to the Greek island they visited 20 years ago.

The story-telling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs drives this enchanting tale of love, laughter, friendship, and sisterhood, creating an unforgettable show. Hit songs include “Mamma Mia,” “Money, Money, Money,” “Dancing Queen,” and “Voulez-Vous,” among others.

Iowa Lakes Community College’s production of “Mamma Mia!” will be directed by Carol Ayres and Brett Fuelberth, with auditions held on January 30 & 31 and February 1, 2022, in the Janice K. Lund Performing Arts Center on the Estherville campus of Iowa Lakes Community College.

Auditions for students grades 4-12 will begin at 6 pm, and adult auditions will follow at 7 pm.
