Jenna Maassen, Hull, has been awarded the Lori Punt Memorial Scholarship by the Northwest Iowa Community College Foundation. This scholarship is $1,000. Maassen was selected due to her academic achievement and potential for success. Jenna is currently an Associate Degree Nursing student.
The purpose of the Lori Punt Memorial Scholarship is to remember the life of Lori Punt, NCC employee for 21 years. Lori was a very caring individual and was a woman of strong Christian faith. She deeply loved her family and was always willing to help others in need. Lori passed away in October 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. The funding for this scholarship was made possible with generous donations from her NCC friends and the Punt & Van Der Wilt families.
