Dordt University Concert Choir Will Perform on January 13

The Dordt University Concert Choir from Sioux Center, Iowa, will perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 13, at the B.J. Haan Auditorium on the campus of Dordt University. The concert is free, with a freewill offering received to help defray tour expenses.

This free concert is part of a spring tour with performances scheduled in Iowa, North Dakota, and Minnesota. 

Directed by Dr. Rob Hobgood, the Dordt University Concert Choir will perform a wide variety of choral music including hymn arrangements, spirituals, classics from the modern choral repertoire as well as past centuries including Gabrielli, Handel, and Clausen, and several compositions written within the last decade by talented young composers.

Dordt University has approximately 300 U.S. and international students who participate in the music program, with opportunities to perform in five choral groups, two orchestras, and four bands. Music scholarships are available to qualified students.
