Rep. Randy Feenstra, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 4th district, shared his views on recent legislative efforts and policy goals through a series of tweets. Feenstra, who has been in office since 2021 after replacing Steve King, used the platform to discuss agricultural policies, tax reforms, and community banking.

On December 5, 2024, Rep. Feenstra highlighted the efforts of the House Agriculture Committee under Congressman GT's leadership. He stated that "For the last few years, @HouseAgGOP — under the leadership of @CongressmanGT — traveled across the country to listen to our farmers and producers." He noted that this engagement led to the passage of the Farm Bill in May, which incorporated substantial producer input. In contrast, he criticized Senate Democrats for their lack of action during this period.

Later that day, at 19:48 UTC, Feenstra expressed his stance on tax reform by calling for the elimination of what he termed as double taxation. He tweeted that "The death tax is a double tax that must be eliminated for good." The post was accompanied by the hashtag #AxeTheDeathTax.

In another tweet posted at 21:30 UTC on December 5th, Feenstra shared his experience meeting Michael Gathman, the new CEO of Community Bankers of Iowa. He conveyed his commitment to supporting community banks through policies such as his ACRE Act. He mentioned that "It was a pleasure to meet the new CEO of the Community Bankers of Iowa — Michael Gathman." The ACRE Act aims to reduce costs associated with home and agricultural loans in rural areas.
