Rep. Randy Feenstra, a U.S. Congressman representing Iowa's 4th district since 2021, shared his views on various legislative and economic issues through a series of tweets on December 12, 2024.
In his first tweet, Rep. Feenstra highlighted the impact of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), signed into law by President Trump in 2017. He stated, "In 2017, Congress passed, and President Trump signed into law, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act – the most comprehensive reform of the tax code in decades. As promised, TCJA grew our economy and let American families, farmers, and small businesses keep more of their hard-earned money!"
Later that day, he addressed federal spending concerns by joining a caucus aimed at reducing government expenditure. On this matter, he tweeted: "For decades, the federal government has borrowed trillions of dollars and spent recklessly. This fiscal insanity must end. I’m glad to join the DOGE Caucus — led by @RepAaronBean — to cut reckless spending, eliminate burdensome government regulations, and reignite our economy!"
In another tweet posted later in the evening on December 12th, Rep. Feenstra emphasized support for veterans' benefits with reference to recent legislation: "As grateful Americans, it is critical that we provide our veterans with the benefits that they have earned. That’s why I’m glad the House unanimously passed legislation to give our disabled veterans free TSA PreCheck – a well-deserved convenience when traveling at our airports."
