Rep. Randy Feenstra, a U.S. Congressman representing Iowa's 4th district since 2021, recently took to social media to discuss his legislative efforts and support for former President Trump. Feenstra replaced Steve King in Congress and has previously served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021.

On January 22, 2025, Rep. Feenstra tweeted about his speech on the House floor where he urged colleagues to support the Laken Riley Act. This legislation includes "Sarah’s Law" as an amendment, which he authored. He emphasized that his bill is "straightforward," asserting that "Any illegal immigrant who harms or kills an American citizen must be detained and fully punished."

Later that day, Feenstra shared another update regarding his activities with constituents. He mentioned signing and sealing envelopes containing commemorative tickets from President Trump's inauguration for people back home in Iowa. Despite weather conditions affecting the event's appearance, he noted that "Iowans support President Trump’s America First agenda all the way!"

In a subsequent post on the same day, Feenstra expressed satisfaction over Sarah’s Law being included in the Laken Riley Act after years of advocacy. The act successfully passed through the House and was sent to President Trump's desk for approval. He reiterated that "Sarah’s Law ensures any illegal immigrant who harms or kills an American citizen is detained and punished."
