Randy Feenstra, a U.S. Congressman representing Iowa's 4th district since 2021, shared several updates on January 24, 2025, regarding his committee assignments and legislative achievements. Feenstra replaced Steve King in Congress and has been active in various roles since his election.

On January 24, Feenstra announced his committee assignments for the 119th Congress. He stated: "My committee assignments for the 119th Congress! @WaysandMeansGOP & the Subcommittees on Tax, Social Security, and Work & Welfare @HouseAgGOP & the Subcommittees on Livestock, Dairy, and Poultry and Conservation, Research, and Biotechnology I’m ready to work for #IA04!"

Later that day, he expressed gratitude towards participants of the March for Life event held in Washington D.C., stating: "Thank you to the thousands of Americans and Iowans who made the trip to Washington, D.C. to #MarchForLife. As a father of 4 and a Christian, my faith teaches me that we are all created by God for a purpose and a reason. I will always protect innocent life and defend the unborn."

In another update posted later that afternoon, Feenstra celebrated legislative progress with Sarah’s Law being included in new legislation: "After years of advocacy, I'm thrilled that Sarah’s Law was included in the Laken Riley Act which passed the House of Representatives and is now headed to President Trump’s desk for his signature. I thank Michelle Root — Sarah's mother — for her perseverance to make this happen."
