On January 30, Feenstra highlighted a legislative achievement with the signing of the Laken Riley Act by President Trump. He stated that "America is safer today because President Trump signed the Laken Riley Act with Sarah’s Law included." This act aims to ensure that illegal immigrants who commit crimes are brought to justice.
Later that day, Feenstra expressed his condolences regarding an incident at Reagan National Airport. He posted "The thoughts and prayers of our entire country are with the victims of tonight’s terrible tragedy at Reagan National Airport and their loved ones."
Additionally, Feenstra engaged with students from local universities on civic engagement. On January 30, he mentioned meeting students from Dordt University and Northwestern College to discuss political involvement.
