Randy Feenstra, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 4th district, has been active on social media sharing recent legislative and community efforts. Feenstra, who replaced Steve King in 2021, highlighted various initiatives and expressed his opinions on governmental spending.
On February 14, 2025, Feenstra announced his involvement in introducing legislation with Senator Fischer and Representative Adrian Smith to make E15 fuel available nationwide year-round. "This week, I helped introduce legislation with @SenatorFischer and @RepAdrianSmith to make #E15 available at the gas pump nationwide 365 days a year — permanently." He emphasized that year-round E15 would lower gas prices, support producers, and enhance energy security.
Later that day, Feenstra criticized FEMA's spending practices during recovery efforts following destructive floods in Iowa. "While our neighbors in #IA04 needed help after last summer's destructive floods, liberals at FEMA were spending millions of taxpayer dollars on luxury hotels for illegal immigrants." He insisted that FEMA funds should prioritize American citizens over illegal immigrants.
In another post on the same day, Feenstra expressed satisfaction with aiding Nor-Am Cold Storage in overcoming bureaucratic challenges to export refrigerated goods to the European Union. "I'm glad my office could help Nor-Am Cold Storage cut through red tape to ensure their customers could export refrigerated goods to the EU." This development is expected to protect jobs and facilitate exports of beef, pork, and poultry from Iowa’s 4th district.
