Randy Feenstra shares insights from #36CountyTour focusing on healthcare and education

Randy Feenstra, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Iowa's 4th district, shared updates from his #36CountyTour on February 21, 2025. His tour included visits to healthcare facilities, local businesses, and educational institutions across the district.

During the second stop of his tour, Feenstra visited Burgess Health Center in Onawa and participated in a town hall with healthcare providers. He emphasized his support for policies that ensure rural hospitals remain operational, fair compensation for physicians, and protection of telehealth access in rural areas. In Dunlap, at his third stop of the day, Feenstra had lunch with representatives from Iowa Pork at Dairy Sweet. The establishment is known for serving approximately 40,000 pork tenderloins annually and was recognized as having Iowa's best breaded pork tenderloin in 2024. Feenstra expressed enjoyment meeting the owner Lori and other locals during this visit. "On my rd stop of today’s #36CountyTour, I had lunch with @IowaPork at Dairy Sweet in Dunlap."

The day's activities concluded with a roundtable discussion at Denison Job Corps which recently celebrated its 60th anniversary. As a father of four children himself, Feenstra highlighted the importance he places on ensuring students have adequate resources and opportunities for learning and growth within the community.
