Randy Feenstra, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Iowa's 4th district since 2021, recently shared a series of tweets outlining his legislative initiatives and views on national security and agricultural policy. These statements provide insight into his priorities as a lawmaker.

On March 10, 2025, Feenstra announced the introduction of the FARMLAND Act alongside Senators Joni Ernst and Elissa Slotkin, as well as Representative Kat Cammack. The legislation aims to prevent foreign adversaries, particularly China, from acquiring American farmland. Feenstra emphasized the importance of ensuring that "the next generation of American farmers" retains ownership over U.S. agricultural lands. "Last week, @SenJoniErnst and I introduced the FARMLAND Act with @RepKMR and @SenatorSlotkin to keep China away from our farmland and protect our ag production from our enemies."

Later that day, Feenstra expressed support for the SHIELD Against CCP Act spearheaded by Representative Dale Strong. This bill was unanimously approved by the U.S. House of Representatives and focuses on holding China accountable for trade violations while enhancing national security measures against cyberattacks and drug trafficking linked to China. "I’m glad that the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously approved @RepDaleStrong's SHIELD Against CCP Act."

Additionally, Feenstra highlighted his collaboration with Representative Mary Miller-Meeks in introducing legislation to support rural providers of durable medical equipment (DME). This initiative seeks to ensure access to essential items like wheelchairs and blood sugar monitors without imposing financial burdens on providers serving seniors and recovering patients in Iowa. "I just introduced legislation with @RepMMM to ensure that rural providers of durable medical equipment can serve our seniors & those in need without facing major financial losses."
