Randy Feenstra, a U.S. Congressman representing Iowa's 4th district since 2021, recently expressed his views on several political issues through a series of tweets. Feenstra, who succeeded Steve King and previously served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021, shared his concerns regarding government operations and tax policies.

On March 13, 2025, Feenstra criticized the Democratic Party for allegedly steering the country towards a government shutdown. He attributed this to their dissatisfaction with President Trump's election, stating "Democrats are running our country straight towards a government shutdown all because they don't like that the American people elected President Trump."

Later that day, Feenstra discussed tax policy in another tweet. He mentioned efforts by himself and his colleagues in the Ways and Means Committee to prevent an increase in taxes by extending the Trump Tax Cuts. He lamented the lack of cooperation from Democrats on this issue, saying "My @WaysandMeansGOP colleagues and I are working to prevent a massive tax hike on our families, farmers, and small businesses by extending the Trump Tax Cuts. It’s unfortunate that Democrats refuse to work with us to deliver real tax relief for hardworking Americans."

On March 14, 2025, Feenstra highlighted his commitment to renewable energy sources by advocating for expanded use of biofuels in transportation sectors beyond jet fuel. Collaborating with Representative MMM on legislation supporting biodiesel use for ships and tankers, he stated "Just like we’ve done with jet fuel, we need to expand the use of renewable fuels across more transportation sectors to promote homegrown #IA04 biofuels. I’m glad to work w/ @RepMMM on legislation to support the use of biodiesel for ships, boats & tankers."
