Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman for Iowa's 4th District, recently shared several updates on legislative activities and community events through Twitter. Feenstra, who was born in Hull, Iowa, has been serving in Congress since 2021, following his tenure in the Iowa Senate.
On March 31, 2025, Rep. Feenstra announced that the House of Representatives unanimously passed a bill he introduced. He highlighted that this legislation aims to "improve customer service and case outcomes at the IRS by finally allowing the National Taxpayer Advocate to hire her own attorneys." According to Feenstra, this reform is necessary to enhance the level of service experienced by taxpayers.
In a tweet dated April 1, 2025, Feenstra expressed gratitude as his District Director, Emily, attended an agricultural leaders’ event. The event, hosted by Secretary Mike Naig, was attended by various dignitaries, including Feenstra himself, who thanked @SecRollins for discussing critical topics such as "our ag trade deficit, the Farm Bill, Brazil’s unfair 18% tariff on American ethanol, #Prop12, and rural prosperity."
Feenstra also revisited his legislative achievement in another tweet from April 1, 2025. He reiterated the unanimous passing of his bill known as the IRS MATH Act. Feenstra emphasized that this legislation is pivotal as it "will ensure that taxpayers are treated fairly at the IRS." For Feenstra, such strides symbolize "a big win for taxpayers!"
