Rep. Randy Feenstra proposes year-round E15 to benefit Iowa farmers

Rep. Randy Feenstra, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 4th district, has been actively engaging with constituents and legislative matters this week. The Representative addressed key issues concerning his district and broader economic policies through a series of recent communications on social media.

On April 4, Feenstra shared his engagement with constituents and discussions with fellow lawmakers. He stated he enjoyed meeting with residents from Fort Dodge and Webster County and had conversations with House Majority Leader Steve Scalise. He highlighted legislative progress with two of his bills aimed at increasing IRS accountability to taxpayers in his district, "This week, I enjoyed meeting..."

Later the same day, Feenstra expressed concern over the impending expiration of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act by the end of the year. He emphasized the potential tax increases that families, farmers, workers, and small businesses might face and the consequent impact on the economy. Feenstra is actively collaborating with colleagues from the Ways and Means Committee to prolong these tax cuts, declaring, "At the end of this year, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act expires..."

On April 5, Feenstra proposed a strategy to benefit corn farmers and the broader economy by advocating for the nationwide implementation of year-round E15. This initiative, he argued, would reduce gasoline prices without additional taxpayer costs, thereby enhancing the farm economy and energy sector. "One way that we can immediately support our corn farmers..."
