Iowa's 4th District Representative, Randy Feenstra, has recently taken to social media to address several key issues impacting his legislative priorities. Feenstra, serving in the U.S. Congress since 2021, replaced Steve King and has a background as a former Iowa State Senator from 2009 to 2021. These tweets outline his efforts alongside his colleagues to tackle challenges concerning agriculture, taxation, and housing.
On April 22, 2025, Rep. Feenstra addressed the challenges faced by farmers and producers regarding input costs and commodity prices. In his tweet, "With input costs still too high and commodity prices still too low, my @HouseAgGOP colleagues and I are working to deliver relief for our farmers and producers. Our resolve to get a new, five-year Farm Bill to President Trump’s desk is stronger than ever.", he emphasized the importance of delivering a new Farm Bill to ease the burden on the agricultural sector.
Later that day, Feenstra collaborated with Rep. Pfluger on an op-ed published in National Review Online. He highlighted their joint stance on taxation in the tweet "Today, @RepublicanStudy Chairman @RepPfluger & I wrote an op-ed in @NRO about stopping the largest tax hike in U.S. history." Their focus was on preventing a significant tax increase and advocating for the extension of the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act.
In another legislative move on the same day, Feenstra tweeted about efforts related to housing supply in collaboration with Congressman Mike Kelly. He noted, "I’m glad to lead legislation with my @WaysandMeansGOP colleague @MikeKellyPA to expand the housing supply & make the dream of homeownership attainable for more families.", stressing the importance of tax code reforms to promote homebuilding and strengthen communities.
Rep. Feenstra, a Dordt University alumnus, represents his district from his residence in Hull, Iowa, and actively participates in initiatives that affect his community and beyond.
