Rep. Randy Feenstra recently highlighted issues of food security, tax policy, and border security through a series of tweets on April 24, 2025. As he continues to represent Iowa’s 4th District in the U.S. Congress, Feenstra shares his initiatives and thoughts on these important subjects.

In a post made on April 24, 2025, Feenstra reflected on his visit to the Britt Area Food Bank during his 36-county tour. He noted, "I finished today’s #36CountyTour with a visit to the Britt Area Food Bank, which partners with the Food Bank of Iowa, businesses in town, and the local church to serve about 80 families every month." He emphasized the goal of the Farm Bill, stating, "By passing the Farm Bill, we can also feed those in need & support our farmers."

Later that day, Feenstra addressed tax policy, lauding the impact of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. He stated, "In 2017, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act nearly doubled the standard deduction for American families, farmers, and workers." Feenstra expressed commitment to maintaining the increased deduction and preventing significant tax hikes on "Iowa families and workers."

On the subject of national security, Feenstra praised former President Trump’s border policies. In a tweet, he asserted, "President Trump locked down our border in a matter of days, making our communities and our country safer and stronger."

Randy Feenstra began serving Iowa's 4th congressional district in 2021, succeeding Steve King. Prior to this role, Feenstra served as an Iowa State Senator for over a decade, illustrating a longstanding commitment to public service. He hails originally from Hull, Iowa, and is an alumnus of Dordt University.
