Randy Feenstra, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, shared several updates via Twitter on May 2, 2025. He replaced Steve King in Congress and had previously served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 until his congressional election. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969, Feenstra also holds a BA from Dordt University, earned in 1991.
In a post dated May 2, 2025, Feenstra expressed his excitement over Ella Strudthoff from Gilbert High School winning the #IA04 Congressional Art Competition with her artwork titled "Reunion." He found the piece moving, coinciding with the upcoming deployment of Iowa National Guard members for active duty.
On the same day, Feenstra made a second post announcing that Republicans, in collaboration with former President Trump, are working on delivering "One, Big, Beautiful Bill" intended to extend the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Feenstra emphasized that this legislative effort would revitalize the economy and provide tax relief to families, farmers, workers, and small businesses.
Later, Feenstra tweeted about a productive week on Capitol Hill serving Iowa’s 4th District. He noted a meeting with the Acting Director of the Air National Guard regarding the 185th Air Refueling Wing, actions to overturn California’s electric vehicle mandates, and celebrations for the first 100 days of President Trump's current term.
Randy Feenstra’s engagements reflect his ongoing legislative focus and commitment to issues relevant to his constituency in Iowa’s 4th district.
