Randy Feenstra, a U.S. Congressman representing Iowa's 4th District since 2021, has shared several updates through his social media platform. Born in Hull, Iowa, and an alumnus of Dordt University, Feenstra previously served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021 before replacing Steve King in Congress.
On May 7, 2025, Feenstra tweeted about his meeting with Iowans from the American College of Radiology. He described their conversation as productive, focusing on encouraging radiologists to practice in rural areas within his district and delivering quality healthcare for families and communities.
Later that day, Feenstra welcomed the Ames Alliance to Washington D.C., where they discussed topics such as extending the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act and passing the Farm Bill. The discussion also included bringing jobs and investment to Iowa's 4th District communities. He thanked Speaker Johnson for providing access to the Speaker’s Balcony during their visit.
In another post on May 7, Feenstra expressed concerns over Confucius Institutes on college campuses. He stated that these institutes are an alarming method by which the Chinese Communist Party spreads misinformation. Consequently, he supported Representative Pfluger's bill aimed at permanently ending Department of Homeland Security funding for American universities hosting these institutes.
