Rep. Randy Feenstra, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, shared updates on legislative progress and constituent services through a series of tweets on May 14, 2025.

On May 14, Feenstra announced that the Republican segment of President Trump's "One, Big, Beautiful Bill" had successfully passed in the House. He stated, "Our @WaysandMeansGOP portion of President Trump's 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill' passed this morning." According to Feenstra, the bill aims to deliver tax cuts for families, workers, farmers, and small businesses while supporting investments in domestic manufacturing. He noted that no Democrats voted in favor of this bill.

Later that day, Feenstra addressed opposition from Democrats regarding proposed tax cuts for American families and workers. He expressed concern over their stance against work requirements for welfare recipients by tweeting, "Democrats are fighting our mission to pass tax cuts for American families and workers because they oppose work requirements for welfare." He emphasized his belief that able-bodied individuals without dependents who receive taxpayer-funded benefits should be required to work.

Additionally, Rep. Feenstra highlighted an event hosted by his office aimed at assisting constituents with passport-related services in Sioux City. He wrote, "Today, our office hosted a passport fair in Sioux City to help Iowans get a new passport or renew their passport." Emphasizing his commitment to quality service for constituents, he expressed satisfaction with the assistance provided during the event.

Randy Feenstra was born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and continues to reside there. Before serving in Congress from Iowa's 4th District since 2021 after replacing Steve King; he was a member of the Iowa Senate from 2009 until 2021. Feenstra graduated from Dordt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991.
