Randy Feenstra, a U.S. Congressman representing Iowa's 4th District since 2021, recently took to social media to express his views on law enforcement and legislative matters. Feenstra, who succeeded Steve King in Congress and has a background serving in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021, shared several statements on Twitter regarding his recent votes and opinions.

On May 13, 2025, Feenstra announced his support for a congressional resolution honoring police officers. He emphasized the importance of their role in community safety by stating "I just voted for a congressional resolution thanking and honoring our police and law enforcement officers." He highlighted their daily sacrifices with "These heroes put their lives on the line every day to protect our communities and keep our families safe."

The following day, May 14, Feenstra addressed criticism directed at former President Trump's legislative initiative. In his tweet, he stated that "As expected, Democrats are lying about President Trump’s 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill.'" According to Feenstra, this bill aims to reduce taxes for various groups while supporting domestic manufacturing and job creation.

Later that same day, Feenstra shared progress on the legislative front by announcing that he and his colleagues had advanced part of President Trump's proposed bill. He expressed commitment towards economic growth and other priorities by tweeting "My @WaysandMeansGOP colleagues and I just passed our portion of President Trump’s 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill!'" He underscored the goals of cutting taxes and enhancing energy production.

Feenstra was born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and graduated from Dordt University in 1991 with a BA. He currently resides in Hull.
