Rep. Randy Feenstra, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Iowa's 4th district, shared several updates on his social media account this week.
On May 16, 2025, Rep. Feenstra expressed his congratulations to Dr. Wendy Wintersteen on her retirement as President of Iowa State University. He praised her service to the students and faculty at Iowa State, as well as the City of Ames and the Cyclone community. "Congratulations to my friend, Dr. Wendy Wintersteen, on her retirement as President of Iowa State University," he wrote.
Later that day, Rep. Feenstra highlighted the participation of his caseworker Ann in the 18th Annual Iowa Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day held at the State Capitol. He noted that there are "868 names on the wall & 24 Iowans who have never been found," emphasizing ongoing recognition for these individuals' sacrifices: "Today and always, we honor the sacrifice of these brave Iowans who served our nation."
On May 17, 2025, Rep. Feenstra announced securing relief from death taxes for family farms and small businesses through legislation associated with President Trump's administration. This measure aims to preserve family traditions and maintain Iowa farmland ownership among local farmers: "I secured death tax relief for our family farms and small businesses in President Trump’s 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill!'"
Randy Feenstra has represented Iowa's 4th District in Congress since replacing Steve King in 2021 after serving in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021.
