Randy Feenstra discusses energy policy and honors veterans on social media

Randy Feenstra, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 4th district, has taken to social media to share his views and activities on various topics. Having replaced Steve King in 2021, Feenstra continues to engage with his constituents through online platforms.

On June 3, 2025, Rep. Randy Feenstra expressed support for President Trump's proposed energy policy via Twitter. He stated that "President Trump's 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill' will refill our Strategic Petroleum Reserve." He criticized the previous administration by asserting that "Biden drained our reserves for political purposes because his failed policies sent gas prices SOARING." Furthermore, he emphasized that President Trump’s "America First energy policies are LOWERING gas prices."

Later the same day, Feenstra shared another update about welcoming veterans from Sioux City to the World War II Memorial. In his post at 19:48 UTC, he remarked that "Our veterans are heroes who deserve our deepest gratitude for their service to our country." He further acknowledged their sacrifices by stating that "We are the land of the free because of the brave men and women who made unthinkable sacrifices."

In a subsequent tweet on June 3 at 23:10 UTC, Feenstra announced his vote regarding oversight of small business loans. He declared that "I just voted to conduct vigorous oversight of the SBA's 7(a) loan program so that small businesses get the financial resources that they need to grow while protecting taxpayers." Highlighting efforts under President Trump’s administration, he mentioned eliminating fraud as part of this initiative.

Randy Feenstra was born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and currently resides there. He graduated from Dordt University in 1991 with a BA degree and served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 until joining Congress in 2021.
