Randy Feenstra, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 4th district, has been vocal on social media about issues concerning immigration and support for American small businesses. Through a series of tweets, Feenstra expressed his views on illegal immigration and the distribution of funds by the Small Business Administration (SBA).
On June 6, 2025, Feenstra tweeted about Kilmar Abrego Garcia, describing him as "an illegal immigrant and MS-13 gang member who has a vile history of domestic violence." He stated, "There is no reason whatsoever for this criminal to be in our country."
The following day, on June 7, he commented on the actions of President Trump’s Small Business Administration. He noted that it was delivering for American small businesses but emphasized that support should be "exclusively reserved for American citizens." He justified his vote to ban illegal immigrants from receiving SBA funds by stating, "It’s why I voted to ban illegal immigrants from receiving any funds from the SBA."
Later that day, Feenstra reiterated his stance with another tweet highlighting his recent legislative action. He stated that he had voted to ban illegal immigrants from accessing SBA loans and other funds. According to him, President Trump’s administration is actively supporting U.S. small businesses by increasing access to capital and fostering an entrepreneurial boom in the country: "Yesterday, I voted to ban illegal immigrants from accessing SBA loans and other funds."
Randy Feenstra has represented Iowa's 4th District since replacing Steve King in 2021. Prior to his current role in Congress, he served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 until 2021.
