Randy Feenstra, a U.S. Congressman representing Iowa's 4th district since 2021, has recently expressed his views on social media regarding current national issues. Born in Hull, Iowa, in 1969 and a graduate of Dordt University, Feenstra previously served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021 before succeeding Steve King in Congress.
On June 8, 2025, Feenstra voiced his support for President Trump's decision to deploy National Guard troops to Los Angeles amidst ongoing unrest. He stated, "President Trump is absolutely right to deploy 2,000 National Guard troops to secure Los Angeles and stop the rioters. We stand with our law enforcement officers and ICE agents."
The following day, June 9, Feenstra commented on President Trump's proposed legislation aimed at providing economic relief. He highlighted the potential financial benefits for families under this plan by stating that "President Trump’s 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill' will give our families room to breathe again after 4 years of #Bidenflation. In fact, families could see up to $13,300 more in take-home pay! Under President Trump, we’re delivering big tax cuts for Americans!"
Later on June 9, Feenstra addressed the actions of rioters disrespecting national symbols and reiterated his support for maintaining order through military deployment. He remarked that "It's despicable and outrageous that rioters are spitting on and burning American flags. By deploying the National Guard to Los Angeles, President Trump is restoring law and order & holding violent criminals accountable. This lawlessness won't be tolerated under President Trump."
Randy Feenstra continues to actively engage with constituents through social media platforms as he addresses key issues affecting both his district and the nation.
