City of Spirit Lake issued the following announcement on June 20.
Work in the northeast part of town progressed more quickly than expected, so the Water Department will begin hydrant flushing and maintenance work in the northwest part of town next week. The area that will be addressed is the area west of Hill Avenue to Hudson Avenue - all north of Highway 9. You may notice a temporary decrease in pressure if a hydrant is being flushed and you are using water and if you experience discoloration please run cold water until the water is clear. Thank you! (The south part of town will be receiving attention sometime later this summer/fall and as that happens there will be announcements in advance).
