Northwest Iowa Community College recently issued the following announcement.
Are you an RN on an Ambulance Service? Are you looking at using your RN license on an ambulance service? Do you just want to learn more about EMS? Are you an EMS provider that needs continuing education credits or a refresher course? Then check this out.
According to Iowa Code, RN Exceptions must have equivalent training that is signed off by the Service’s Medical Director. NCC has developed standardized training that would be applicable to all RN exceptions.
The training is a two day, comprehensive course, covering the basics of EMS. RNs should already be competent in assessment skills, but may need to be updated on EMS standard of care and operations.
