On January 20, 2025, Rep. Feenstra expressed optimism about the direction of the country under President Trump’s leadership. He stated, "It’s a new day in America! President Trump will deliver on the mandate of the American people!"

Later that day, he addressed a tragic incident involving a border patrol agent in Vermont. He tweeted at 22:03 UTC, "One of our nation’s brave border patrol agents was tragically murdered in Vermont today by an illegal immigrant. Our thoughts are with the agent’s family and loved ones. We need to secure ALL our borders and keep criminals out of our country."
