City of Orange issued the following announcement on Aug. 28.
Here are a few items to note from OC Sanitation and the City of Orange City regarding the green tote trash pick up.
1) Do NOT overfill. If a larger can is needed, you can upgrade by calling OC Sanitation at (712)737-2645 behind the curb but within 18”. Driveways work great.
2) Tote should not be put out more than 12 hours before normal pick up time.
3) Tote needs to be out by 7:00 am the day of normal pick up.
4) Lid opening needs to be placed towards the street or they will not be emptied.
5) If high wind warnings are issued for your pick up day and can is nearly empty, please hold with setting it out until the next week.
