The Lu Vella C. Burnett Health Scholarship has been awarded to James Chuma, Sheldon, by the Northwest Iowa Community College Foundation. Chuma is currently a student in the Nursing program at NCC.
This $1,500 scholarship has been established by Lu Vella C. Burnett who worked as a teacher for many years in St. Joseph, Missouri, and retired in 1983. Lu Vella had a love for education and a desire to help support students so they can be successful in furthering their education.
