On December 9, 2024, Rep. Feenstra expressed his agreement with former President Trump regarding the use of funds seized from drug cartels for community protection. He stated, "I agree with President Trump that we must use money seized from the drug cartels to protect our communities." Feenstra also mentioned his legislative proposal titled "Build the Wall and Fight Fentanyl Act," which aims to allocate these funds towards border wall construction and fentanyl recovery and treatment programs.
On December 10, 2024, Rep. Feenstra addressed an issue concerning navigation aids along the Missouri River. He noted that "The U.S. Coast Guard recently determined that it would remove 36 Aids to Navigation (ATONs) along the Missouri River north of Blencoe, Iowa." In response, he is leading efforts alongside 53 local organizations and leaders to urge the Coast Guard to reconsider this decision.
Later on December 10, Rep. Feenstra congratulated an educator from Sioux Central High School for receiving a notable accolade. He wrote "Congratulations to Melanie Bloom — who teaches agriculture at Sioux Central High School — on being named Iowa’s 2025 Teacher of the Year!" Highlighting her dedication, he acknowledged her contribution to helping students achieve their potential.
