Rep. Randy Feenstra, a Republican serving Iowa's 4th district in the U.S. Congress, announced a series of legislative initiatives through his social media presence. Feenstra shared updates regarding a bill aimed at maintaining nonpartisanship in the IRS, the repealing of the death tax, and improvements to the tax treatment of Pell Grants.

On April 3, 2025, Feenstra stated, "This week, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed my bill to keep partisan politics out of the IRS. This legislation ensures that the nonpartisan National Taxpayer Advocate can hire her own attorneys to ensure that #IA04 taxpayers are being treated fairly."

Later the same day, Feenstra expressed appreciation for the support from his colleagues in Pennsylvania on his second initiative, "I thank my colleagues from Pennsylvania — @CongressmanGT, @RepSmucker, @MikeKellyPA, @GReschenthaler, @RepBresnahan, @RepJohnJoyce, @RepMeuser, and @RepScottPerry — for cosponsoring my Death Tax Repeal Act. We must #AxeTheDeathTax on PA and IA farmers and small businesses!"

In another update posted on April 3, 2025, Feenstra focused on education, advocating for tax exemptions on Pell Grants, "I’ve long supported Pell Grants because they support our students. But current law still requires some students to pay taxes on their Pell Grants, reducing the intended financial aid. I’m glad to lead legislation to make Pell Grants completely tax-free."
