Iowa sees three Republicans running for House District 3: Dennis Bush (R-Cleghorn), Lynn Evans (R-Aurelia) and Mark McHugh (R-Sheldon), according to Sioux City Journal.
Rep. San Huseman (R-Aurelia) currently holds the seat and is not running for re-election. There are also no Democrat candidates.
Bush, 69, is a farmer and Cherokee County supervisor. If elected, Bush told the Sioux City Journal he would focus on Iowa's budget and restoring the state economy.
Evans, 56, is a retired school superintendent, who said adding language to the state Constitution is a priority for her to "ensure our right to keep and bear arms and language to ensure that abortion cannot be interpreted as a constitutional right," according to Sioux City Journal.
McHugh. 38, is the CNC Lathe Operator at Rosenboom Machine and Tool Inc. and this is his first time running for an elective office. He told the Sioux City Journal that if elected he would focus on pro-life and support to the Second Amendment.
