Rep. Randy Feenstra, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Iowa’s 4th district, has been vocal about agricultural and energy issues through his recent social media activity. He replaced Steve King in 2021 and has been an advocate for local farmers and producers.

On March 15, 2025, Rep. Feenstra announced the introduction of the Crop Insurance for Future Farmers Act via a tweet. "ICYMI: Yesterday, I introduced the Crop Insurance for Future Farmers Act to lower the cost of crop insurance for the next generation of #IA04 farmers and producers. To keep China away from our farmland & continue our proud farm traditions, we must support our young producers."

Later that day, he expressed gratitude towards his colleague from Alaska for supporting another legislative effort aimed at aiding family farms and small businesses. "I appreciate my colleague from Alaska — @RepNickBegich — for cosponsoring my Death Tax Repeal Act. Family farms and small businesses across Iowa and Alaska need Congress to #AxeTheDeathTax and end this unfair double tax on agriculture and business."

In another tweet posted on March 15, 2025, Rep. Feenstra emphasized the importance of biofuels to energy security and affordability in America. "Homegrown American biofuels are critical to our energy dominance. Blends like #E15 also save families money at the gas pump. That’s why we MUST make #E15 permanently available year-round at gas stations nationwide. It’s good for farmers, energy security, and affordability."
